March 20, 2025 GRAMMY Award-winning soprano Karen Slack is bringing her powerful recital African Queens to the University of Toronto’s Walter Hall. This acclaimed program, accompanied by pianist Kevin Miller, celebrates the legacies of seven African queens through new art songs composed by contemporary Black composers. Slack, a faculty member at the Banff Centre, has performed at major opera houses worldwide and continues to spotlight Black artists through her music.
