The Rockies are officially in Halloween mode, and it's shaping up to be one unforgettable week. In Banff, Melissa's Missteak is throwing the town's biggest Halloween bash with A Nightmare on Banff Ave - a full dance floor, local DJs, and $5.25 Jager shots all night. Costumes are absolutely encouraged, and the energy is set to be off the charts.

Meanwhile, Canmore is leaning into community spirit with a Trick-or-Treat Trail at the Shops of Canmore on October 31. Little ones can load up on candy, make crafts, and enjoy sweet treats while parents grab a coffee and enjoy the fall atmosphere.

And if you're heading north, Jasper's Halloween Takeover is where the night owls will want to be. Late-night DJ sets, a silent disco in Commemoration Park, and a haunted storytelling night at the theatre will keep the energy going until the early hours.

🐻 Bear season reminder. October is still an active time for bears as they prepare for hibernation. Stay alert, carry bear spray and stay safe while hiking.

⚠️ Sundance Canyon update. The Loop section is closed for bridge repairs, with an estimated reopening in mid-November 2025. The main trail is still accessible.

🚧 Trail closure at Bow Glacier Falls. Access at the falls is restricted for safety, though the lower section stays open. Closure in effect until further notice.
