Hi Everyone! Here's What’s Happening This Week!

Paid parking at Lake Louise has been back for a while, but peak season is where it actually bites. Both the Lakeshore and Fairview lots are charging $42 a day, and with July underway, they are filling earlier each week. Accessible parking is down to a handful of spaces, so if that applies to you, arrive early or have a backup plan.

Centennial Park in Canmore is doubling as an outdoor stage this month. The Pine Tree Players are staging Anne of Green Gables and Little Women on the Stan Rogers Memorial Stage from 8 to 19 July. Bring your own chair; the mountain view comes with the seat.

If Banff Avenue has lost its appeal, a three-hour guided walk trades it for quiet trails, geothermal springs, and a couple of waterfalls most first-time visitors never find, with wildlife spotted along the way more often than not.

For anyone who would rather do their stargazing from bed, Skyridge Glamping offers glass-walled cabins and sits in a genuinely dark pocket of Kananaskis, with no need to step outside to see the sky.

🏔️ Fresh from the Rockies

Emerald Lake, Yoho National Park

🎭 Canmore Summer Theatre Returns. The Pine Tree Players bring Anne of Green Gables and Little Women to the Stan Rogers Memorial Stage in Centennial Park from 8-19 July. Bring your own chair. The mountains are included.

🚗 Peak Season Squeezes Lake Louise Parking. Paid parking is back at Lake Louise Lakeshore and Fairview, $42 a day, and the lot is filling earlier by the week. Accessible parking, meanwhile, is limited to a handful of spaces.

💼 Banff Centre Wants You. More than 25 roles are open, from pastry chef to stage manager. Take one, and you also qualify to live in Banff - Parks Canada's residency rules require it.

🛠️ K-Country Bridge Back Open. Temporary repairs to the Evan Thomas Bridge on Highway 40 have reopened both lanes after last week's washout. Spray Lakes Road is mostly clear too, though the Grassi Lakes section remains shut pending slope stability checks.

🌊 Lady MacDonald Accessible After Flood Damage. Heavy rain on 28-29 June eroded Cougar Creek's embankments, but the Lady MacDonald trail remains open via the Cougar Creek Trailhead. The creek canyon beyond is closed for safety. Everything else past the trail boundary is off-limits until further notice.

🌦️ Sun, showers, and one lucky sunny break to round it out. Saturday brings a mix of sun and cloud with a 60% chance of showers and a high of 22°C, Sunday eases into a mix of sun and cloud with a 40% chance of showers and a high of 17°C, then Monday clears right up to sunny skies and 25°C.
