Hi Everyone! Here's Whatβs Happening This Week!
First up, a heads-up for anyone heading out near Tunnel Mountain: the official trails are still open, but off-trail areas are restricted until 31 March to protect hunting carnivores. Keep dogs on a lead and bring wildlife spray so your stroll stays a good one.
If your idea of winter cardio includes snacks, TRIBUTE Banff is back on Bear Street as part of SnowDays on 30-31 January. Expect a lively outdoor food and drink bash with local restaurants, plus distilleries and breweries, and a ticket that comes with tasting coupons and a souvenir glass.
And for the grape-loversπ, thereβs a big wine experience happening at The Malcolm Hotel this February, with tastings, snacks, and a Riedel glass to take home.
One more winter bucket-list item: if youβve been eyeing those ice bubble photos, thereβs a guided tour that gets you to Abraham Lake and also includes stops like Peyto and Bow Lake. Hot drinks and snowshoes are included, and someone else deals with road conditions. π
There is plenty more happening this week. Dive into the event listings below, or check out the detailed events page on our website.

If youβve seen photos of frozen ice bubbles and wondered how people actually get there, this guided winter tour removes the guesswork. The route includes time at Abraham Lake to see the natural ice bubbles up close, plus stops at Peyto Lake and Bow Lake.
Snowshoes are provided where needed, warm drinks are included, and the guide handles road conditions, timing, and safe access on icy terrain. Itβs a good choice if you want to experience these winter landscapes without navigating winter highways or figuring out equipment on your own.
As a bonus, the journey includes part of the Icefields Parkway, which is especially striking in winter.
