🏄 Volunteers Move Boulders to Fix Surf Wave. June floods sent the Kananaskis River to eight times normal flow, scattering the boulders that form the Mountain Wave. One volunteer has donated $30,000 in demolition equipment and crew time.

🚗 Do you need a car if you stay in Banff or Canmore? Banff is walkable and well-served by public transport, making a car-free trip very achievable - Canmore is more car-dependent and suits travellers who are happy driving into the park each day.

⏱️ How long does it take to walk around Bankhead Ghost Town? It's a short, flat loop that most visitors complete in under an hour - ideal if you want a low-key Banff activity that doesn't fill a full day.
