🥾 Missing Hiker Found Dead. An 81-year-old hiker from Golden, B.C., was found dead Thursday, a week after leaving Waterton Lakes National Park on the Carthew-Alderson trail. It's the third hiking death in southern Alberta's Rockies this week.

🌦️ The cooldown lands right on schedule - Sunday brings a mix of sun and cloud with a chance of showers at a cool 17°C, Monday clears up sunny at 20°C, and Tuesday holds that sunshine at a milder 23°C. That heat wave is officially behind us now. Full Forecast Here

🚌 Skip the lake parking headache. The open-top double-decker between Lake Louise and Moraine Lake runs hourly and includes Lake Louise parking, removing the part of the day most people find least enjoyable. Book your seat here

🚲 E-Bike and Johnston Canyon Hike - Twenty-six kilometres of pedalling through Vermilion Lakes and along the Bow Valley Parkway, then an hour on foot to the Lower Falls. The e-bikes take the sting out of the climbs, and a shuttle brings you back.

🛶 Big Canoe River Explorer - A twelve-seat voyageur canoe makes light work of the Bow: you head upstream first, then drift back. Guides talk railway history and wildlife, and there's lemonade waiting on the shore. Suitable from age two.

🚡 Lake Louise Sightseeing Gondola - The ride up Mount Whitehorn takes fourteen minutes and lands you at 2,101 metres, with trails and a Wildlife Interpretive Centre at the top. Summer brings regular grizzly sightings on the ski runs below.

🌅 Do I need to book transport to Moraine Lake in advance? Yes - shuttle seats and tour spots fill quickly, especially in peak summer - planning ahead is essential if you want to secure your preferred time.
